FAQ

Which AI training platforms accept residents of my country?

Mercor, Outlier and Prolific publish official lists of allowed countries; Mindrift publishes a list of restricted ones. Pick your country in the catalog to see the status of every job.

Does my passport matter?

Most platforms check country of residence, not citizenship. Payment providers are stricter: EU-licensed services restrict Russian nationals without an EU/EEA/Swiss residence permit.

Why can’t I get paid even though the platform accepted me?

The payout method may not serve your country. Stripe Connect and PayPal receiving are unavailable in several countries; Deel, Payoneer and bank transfers have wider coverage.

Where can musicians and audio engineers find AI training work?

micro1 (Music & Sound Annotation, $30–45/h), Alignerr (Audio Engineer, $40–80/h) and Meridial AI (stem separation) accept practitioners without a music degree. Outlier, Turing and Handshake music roles require an advanced degree.

Do I need fluent English?

Not always. REX and Appen ask for basic English, micro1’s music role only needs clear written notes. Turing and Mercor require fluency, and AI interviews are usually in English.
